The Taipei International Food Exhibition, hosted by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), won the AFECA Outstanding Trade Exhibition Award by providing a complete industrial supply chain, marketing model, and internationalization. The top three Outstanding Service Award recipients were Pico Global Services Ltd., OLILY International Design Group, and Eurotran Ltd. Art Expo Taiwan, hosted by Kuei Jung Exhibition Co., Ltd., came in third for the Outstanding Consumer Exhibition Award.
The Kaohsiung Exhibition Center stood out from among the numerous exhibition halls in Asia, placing third for the Outstanding Venue Award. Selena Li, deputy general manager of OLILY International Group, and Zhuang Ziyi, senior project manager of Taiwan Tour, came first and third respectively for the AFECA Young Professional Award.
TAITRA stated that Taiwan's overall performance has been outstanding, with a total of eight awards being won, making it the country with the most AFECA awards. These remarkable results show that the government has been fully assisting the development of the MICE industry and implementing education and training.
14 elite exhibition teams from Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand competed in this year's Asian MICE Youth Challenge. Thailand came in first, followed by Malaysia and Hong Kong. Representing Taiwan in the Challenge, Chihlee University of Technology and Takming University of Science and Technology performed well and received favorable comments. Chihlee University of Technology won the Special Recognition Award and the Best Individual Presenter Award.
